TLC's raspy voiced singer Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins revealed that she previously suffered from a brain tumor for three years. The 39-year-old mother kept her medical condition under wraps and underwent a seven-hour surgery to remove the grapefruit-sized tumor in 2006. "People are floored when I say I have a brain tumor. I won't let you feel sorry for me," she said. "We'll make jokes, get through it, and the bad stuff will just be a memory."

At two weeks old, Travis Washington was diagnosed with sickle cell disease. Since then, he spent much of his childhood in and out of hospitals, suffering from excruciating pain. At age 11, Travis had a mild stroke that left him weak on one side of his body. He underwent months of physical, occupational and speech therapy and fully recovered.
He began receiving blood transfusions every month to prevent another stroke. But in 2006, Travis had a massive stroke that permanently damaged the right si…

One thing I need you to understand as I write this blog entry is that I do not profess to know what all fellow Brothers and Sisters of Sickle Cell go through, but I know what I went through as I advanced in my school career, social life and personal life.
As well versed, intelligent and cultured I am by most standards, I was often and easily dismissed as someone that should not expect to have goals, dreams, and career. It was only natural with looks of pity or sympathy or even rejection that th…

He proposed.
On Friday the 13th of March, a day that is considered an omen, a stroke of bad luck, it was just the opposite for us and his favorite number. He asked me to be his wife over two set plates for breakfast of slightly burnt pancakes, undercooked sausage patties and cereal. It was absolutely the greatest day of my life. 2/24: Talking with Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins of TLC about “Celebrity Apprentice”
11:14 pm February 24, 2009, by Rodney Ho
Donald Trump probably knows TLC as the cable network, not the biggest female group of the 1990s.
In fact, the host of “Celebrity Apprentice” (season two debuting Sunday on NBC at 9 p.m.) had trouble pronouncing Atlanta’s own Tionne “T Boz” Watkins’ first name. Watkins said he kept saying “T-own” instead of of the proper “T-on.” So after awhile, he just called her “T.”
